Call for Papers, Special Issue on Ana Luísa Amaral

Dear colleagues:
We are preparing a special issue of Portuguese Cultural Studies (9.2), on the works of Ana Luísa Amaral, scheduled for publication in 2025. We would like to invite you to contribute with an article of 6 to 8 thousand words and hope you will join us in this initiative. Articles may be written in English or Portuguese. However, if at all possible, preference is to be given to articles in English given the relative scarcity of studies of Ana Luísa Amaral in English at the moment.
The topics and theoretical approaches are free, but we would hope to have a wide critical coverage of Ana Luísa Amaral’s work, including all her poetry, as well as the drama, essays, children’s literature, and other interventions for the radio and other media.
We ask you at this moment to let us know by return email whether we can count on you. Further, we will need a short (100 word) abstract and title by 15 July 2024. Complete essays must be submitted by 15 December 2024. These will then be sent for double-blind peer-review. Revised, final versions should be back with us by the end of February 2025 so that the production process may be initiated.
