O cargo será de professor assistente visitante ou professor visitante, dependendo das qualificações. Os candidatos devem ter ou estar perto de concluir o doutorado. Experiência de ensino é necessária. Aqueles com experiência em cursos de ensino na História do Brasil ou do Caribe hispânico são especialmente encorajados a se candidatar. One-Year Visiting Position, Latin American History

Description

The Department of History at Franklin & Marshall College invites applications for a one-year visiting position in Latin American history, beginning Fall Semester 2019. The rank will be Visiting Assistant Professor or Visiting Instructor, depending on qualifications. Candidates should have or be close to completing the Ph.D. Teaching experience is required. Teaching load is 3/2 and may include participation in the College’s general education requirement, “Connections.”  The successful candidate will teach both halves of the survey of Latin American history, as well as topics courses in areas of expertise. Those with experience teaching courses in the history of Brazil or the Spanish Caribbean are especially urged to apply.

Qualifications

We will consider an individual's record working with students and colleagues with diverse perspectives, experiences, and backgrounds. We will also consider experience overcoming or helping others to overcome barriers to academic success.

Candidates must submit the following materials via Interfolio: letter of application, curriculum vitae, graduate transcripts, teaching statement, sample syllabi of survey courses, and teaching evaluations.  Applicants must arrange for three letters of recommendation to be submitted directly to Interfolio by their recommenders. For full consideration, applications should be received by February 1, 2019.
