O Programa de Estudos Latino-Americanos da Universidade de Washington em St. Louis está buscando candidatos para uma vaga de pós-doutoramento, com início previsto para o semestre de outono, para lecionar dois cursos por semestre.

O Programa procura candidatos qualificados para ministrar cursos com foco nas culturas brasileiras, ou com o Brasil desempenhando um papel significativo, sob a ótica da antropologia cultural, estudos culturais e disciplinas afins. Os candidatos devem ser capazes de ensinar no campo dos estudos de cultura popular, envolvendo questões de etnia, raça, nacionalidade e / ou gênero.

Postdoctoral Research Associate in Latin American Studies

The Latin American Studies Program at Washington University in St. Louis is seeking candidates for a Postdoctoral position. The appointment will begin in the fall semester, and the fellow will be required to teach two courses per semester. We seek candidates qualified to teach courses with a focus on Brazilian cultures, or with Brazil playing a significant role, from the perspective of cultural anthropology, cultural studies, and related disciplines. Candidates should be able to teach in the field of popular culture studies, engaging issues of ethnicity, race, nationhood, and/or gender.

The position has the possibility of renewal, contingent on satisfactory performance and continued funding. The successful candidate is expected to have the Ph.D. in hand at the time of appointment. (S)he will be expected to participate fully in the intellectual and social life of the School, contribute to our lecture programs and colloquia, and develop and pursue a research agenda with mentoring from the faculty.
