Nos dias 9 a 11 de maio de 2019, a Universidade Católica Portuguesa será a anfitriã da «Cultural Literacy in Europe», a terceira em uma série de Conferências bienais focada na implementação das recomendações do projeto a escala europeia. O tema da conferência de 2019 é «Cultural Literacy & Cosmopolitan Conviviality».
Este encontro internacional reunirá académicos interessados pelo desenvolvimento dos estudos literários e culturais na Europa.
O prazo para apresentação de propostas decorre até ao dia 6 de janeiro de 2019.
Os organizadores oferecem um número limitado de bolsas destinadas a jovens investigadores em início de carreira. A data limite de candidaturas é dia 7 de janeiro de 2019.

Third Biennial Conference, Lisbon 9-11 May 2019
The CLE Biennial Conference 2019 will be held at the Universidade Católica Portuguesa (Lisbon).
The topic is Cultural Literacy & Cosmopolitan Conviviality.
Keynote speakers will include Prof Boaventura de Sousa Santos, Prof Paul Gilroy and Prof Sowon Park. On Saturday 11 May a Workshop will be run by Ahmet Öğüt.
You are invited to submit a proposal for a 20-minute paper (or for a panel of three 20-minute papers) on any area of the conference topic. Proposals should consist of: title, an abstract (max. 300 words), a mini-biography (max 100 words), plus your name, affiliation and email address. Send this to mlopes@fch.lisboa.ucp.pt and n.segal@bbk.ac.uk by the deadline of Sunday 6 January 2019.
We are pleased to offer a number of Early-Career Researcher Bursaries to support attendance at the 2019 conference Cultural Literacy & Cosmopolitan Conviviality, at the Universidade Católica Portuguesa (Lisbon). The definition of ‘early career researcher’ includes both current postgraduate students and those who have obtained their PhD no more than 10 years ago.
The deadline for application is 7 January 2019.
