O Portuguese Language Journal convida para a submissão de manuscritos originais e inéditos sobre a aquisição de segunda língua, metodologia de línguas estrangeiras, linguística, estudos culturais, estudos cinematográficos, crítica literária, pedagogia e também revisões de livros, multimédia e outros materiais pedagógicos ligados ao ensino e aprendizagem de português.

O PLJ é resultado da colaboração entre a AOTP - American Organization of Teachers of Portuguese, o Center For Latin American Studies - University of Florida, o Latin American and Iberian Institute - University of New Mexico, e o Latin American and Caribbean Center - Florida International University.

The PLJ - Portuguese Language Journal invites the submission of original, unpublished manuscripts on Second Language Acquisition, Methodology of Foreign Languages Linguistics, Cultural Studies, Film Studies, Literary Criticism, Pedagogy, and also reviews of books, multimedia and other pedagogical material connected to the teaching and learning of Portuguese.
The deadline for the submission is June 30th at 11:59 p.m., Eastern Time. Notification of acceptance can be expected by September 30th.

1. Submission of articles
PLJ invites the submission of original, unpublished manuscripts on Second Language Acquisition, Methodology of Foreign Languages Linguistics, Cultural Studies, Film Studies, Literary Criticism, Pedagogy, and also reviews of books, multimedia and other pedagogical material connected to the teaching and learning of Portuguese.
2. Submission to reviews
PLJ also publishes reviews of books, film and other multimedia and pedagogical material published in the last two years. Anyone interested in writing a review should contact PLJ (info@portugueselanguagejoural.com) and consult with the editors.
AOTP members interested in becoming reviewers for PLJ should send their information to our email. Also, publishers and authors interested in submitting their materials for review should contact the editors. Just like the articles, the review goes through our double-blind review process.
Contributors should observe the following:
- Both Portuguese and English are languages of publication.
- Submit manuscripts in Word format by email to info@portugueselanguagejournal.com.
- Include the authors' names, institutions, address, e-mail, and phone numbers, if available.
- Include, both in Portuguese and English, a 200 words abstract and up to 6 keywords.
- Include a brief biographical statement of each author (200 words or less).
- Article submissions should be at least 12 double-spaced pages but no more than 25 double-pages in length (without references).
- Review submissions should be at least 750 words but no more than 1,000 words in length.
