Lecturer in Portuguese and Lusophone Studies
School of Modern Languages
The School of Modern Languages is seeking a Lecturer in Portuguese and Lusophone Studies.
The successful applicant will undertake a full teaching load, including the development, delivery and evaluation of modules and programmes within the undergraduate and post qualification provision of Portuguese and Lusophone Studies within the School. Teaching will be focussed on Histories and Cultures of the Portuguese Speaking World and Cultures in Context (Portuguese), as well as undertaking some language delivery and Portuguese to English translation seminars, guidance and marking. The post holder will also supervise students on project work, and carry out academic administrative duties within the work area as required.
The post is full time (35 hours per week) and fixed term for 6 months to run from 1 September 2022 (or as near as possible) until end of February 2023. The post is cover for staff leave.
Salary: £43,434 - £50,296 per annum (Grade 7)
