Chamada de professores visitantes de Ciência Política da Universidade Estadual de Campinas (Unicamp)

O objetivo desta chamada é atrair dois professores visitantes de Ciência Política para lecionar e pesquisar por um ou dois meses na Universidade Estadual de Campinas. Com essa chamada, o Programa de Pós-Graduação em Ciência Política (PPGCP) deseja atrair professores / pesquisadores de destaque em todos os níveis de carreira e desenvolver seu programa de internacionalização financiado pela Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior (Capes).

O GPPS da Unicamp é um dos principais centros de pesquisa do Brasil, entre os seis maiores do país. O programa obteve o 6º grau (até 7º) na última avaliação realizada pelo Ministério da Educação. O IFCH possui a mais importante biblioteca em Ciências Sociais da América Latina.

O professor / pesquisador terá que ministrar um minicurso (20h) em nível de pós-graduação e apresentar um seminário sobre suas pesquisas atuais durante as quatro ou oito semanas. O Programa também incentiva a professor / pesquisador a interagir com professores e alunos durante sua passagem pela Unicamp.

O minicurso e o seminário podem ser em português, espanhol ou inglês.

Para se inscrever, o candidato deve ter afiliação institucional localizada em um dos países listados abaixo e ter concluído o doutorado até março de 2017.

Os candidatos deverão enviar (a) uma breve proposta de curso (não mais de uma página), (b) o currículo acadêmico dos últimos cinco anos e (c) uma carta motivacional.

A visita deve ter início na segunda quinzena de março de 2021. As inscrições deverão ser enviadas até 25 de outubro de 2020 para o endereço scpgcpol@unicamp.br.

Call for visiting-professors in Political Science at the University of Campinas (Unicamp), in Brazil (due to October 25)

The aim of this call is to attract two visiting-professors in Political Science to teach and research for one or two months at the University of Campinas. With that call, the Graduate Program in Political Science (GPPS) wishes to attract outstanding professors/researchers at all career levels and develop its internationalization program funded by the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel (Capes).

The GPPS at Unicamp is one of the leading research centers in Brazil, among the top six in the country. The program has been awarded with Grade 6 (up to 7) in the last evaluation conducted by the Ministry of Education. The IFCH has the most important library in Social Sciences in Latin America, besides archives and other facilities.

The professor/researcher will have a private workspace provided with computer, printer and access to digital resources. An assistant will be assigned to the professor/researcher to help with institutional duties during her time at the university.

The professor/researcher will have to teach a short course (20h) at graduate level and present a seminar on her current research during the four or eight weeks. The Program also encourages the professor/researcher to interact with professors and students during her time at Unicamp.

The short course and the seminar can be in Portuguese, Spanish or English.

To apply, candidates should have an institutional affiliation located in one of the countries listed below and have finished their PhD up to March/2017.

Candidates have to send (a) a short proposal for the course (no more than one page), (b) their academic CV for the last five years and (c) a motivational letter.

The visit should start in the second half of March 2021. Applications will be evaluated by the Graduate Program Commission. Notifications about the results will be sent on October 26.
