Brazil in Africa/Africa in Brazil International Conference

Chamada para trabalhos, Estudos Afro-Brasileiros

O Centro de Estudos Afro-brasileiros da Universidade do Estado de Lagos (LASUCAS, pela sigla em inglês) divulga a chamada de trabalhos para a Conferência Internacional: “Brasil na África / África no Brasil”.

A conferência será realizada na Universidade do Estado de Lagos, Lagos, Nigéria, nos dias 3 a 7 de fevereiro de 2020, em parceria com a Escola de Pós-Graduação em Arquitetura e Urbanismo (PPGAU) da Universidade Federal da Bahia, Salvador, Brasil.

A data limite para apresentação de propostas é dia 15 de outubro de 2019.

LASUCAS Conference

An event on the effects of the contacts of Brazilians and Africans, especially through the impacts of trans-Atlantic slave trade have remarkably influenced the modern history of Brazil and Africa.

Deadline for submission of abstracts: October 15, 2019

The Lagos State University Centre for Afro-Brazilian Studies (LASUCAS), Lagos, Nigeria is happy to announce a call for paper for its first Annual International Conference tagged “Brazil in Africa/Africa in Brazil International Conference” with the theme: Africa/Brazil: Sharing Understanding on the Black Diaspora in the New World.

The Conference is being organized jointly with the Research Group on Ethnicities, the School of Postgraduate Studies in Architecture and Urbanism (PPGAU) of the Federal University of Bahia, Salvador, Brazil. The conference is to be held in the Lagos State University, Lagos, Nigeria from February 3-7, 2020.

This conference will covers the following themes:
