New Nationalisms in an Open World

A International Political Science Association (IPSA) realizará o 26º Congresso Mundial em Lisboa (Portugal) com o tema “New Nationalisms in an Open World” de 25 a 29 de Julho de 2020. O Congresso de 2020 terá uma representação local particularmente forte porque integrará o Congresso bienal da Associação Portuguesa de Ciência Política.

O tema da edição de 2020 é “New Nationalisms in an Open World”. Propostas para painéis e artigos sobre qualquer assunto dentro da ciência política são bem-vindas. O tema do congresso será apresentado em sessões e eventos especialmente organizados.

Por favor, visite o site wc2020.ipsa.org para enviar as suas propostas de painel (abertas e fechadas), para detalhes sobre o Congresso, prazos importantes e diretrizes de submissão.

Chamamos a atenção para o Call for Papers que irá abrir a 7 de agosto de 2019. Atualmente, as propostas de paper podem ser submetidas apenas a painéis fechados, a convite do convocador do painel.

Submissões de painel e paper

Qualquer pessoa pode enviar uma proposta para um painel ou paper. Os proponentes não precisam ser membros da IPSA. Se não tiver uma conta IPSA no momento, será solicitado que crie uma antes de enviar a sua proposta de painel ou paper.

Submeter um painel:

• Prazo para OPEN panels: 10 de Julho de 2019
• Prazo para CLOSED panels: 10 de Outubro de 2019

Submeter um paper:

• Abre a 7 de Agosto de 2019
• Encerra a 10 de Outubro de 2019

As propostas de painéis painel podem ser submetidas às seguintes sessões:

• Sessões do Comitê de Pesquisa (RC)
• Sessões Gerais (GS)
• Sessões da Comissão Organizadora Local (LOC)

As propostas de painéis para qualquer sessão devem ser enviadas em inglês ou francês. As propostas em português podem ser submetidas às sessões da Comissão Organizadora Local (LOC).

New Nationalisms in an Open World

The IPSA World Congress of Political Science is the preeminent international gathering of political scientists working in academia, research and consulting who present their research over four days and 500+ panels. It is held every two (2) years and for the first time, the Congress will be hosted in Portugal.

The 2020 IPSA World Congress of Political Science will be held in Lisbon (Portugal) from 25 to 29 July 2020. Over 2800 delegates from approximately 80 countries are expected to attend. The Congress will have particularly strong local and regional representation because it will integrate the biennial Congress of the Portuguese Political Science Association.

Panel Proposal Key Dates

• 20 MAY 2019 | Call for Panels opens
• 10 JUL 2019 | Deadline to submit open panel proposals
• 10 OCT 2019 | Deadline to submit closed panel proposals

Rules for Participation

Panel proposals can be submitted to the following sessions:

1. Research Committee (RC) sessions
2. General Sessions (GS)
3. Local Organizing Committee (LOC) Sessions

All panel submissions must include a chair, co-chair (optional), 1-2 discussant(s), and 4-6 papers. The chair, co-chair and discussant cannot be the same person. More than one discussant may be added, but please keep in mind that there must be enough time during the panel for questions.

ALL panel members must be signed up for a free IPSA website account in order to have their names included as a chair, co-chair or discussant in the panel proposal. Panels submitted with a description only will be viewed as incomplete.

Language

Panel proposals for any session must be submitted in English or French. Panel proposals in Portuguese may be submitted to LOC sessions.
