O número 48 da Revista Moara, na área de Estudos Literários, a ser publicado em dezembro de 2017, está com chamada aberta com seguinte tema:

“A literatura luso-brasileira no contexto global: atravessado fronteiras”.

Este número é organizado pela Profa. Dra. Juliana Queiroz (UFPA) e pela Profa. Dra. Luciana Namorato (Indiana University, Bloomington).

Prazo para submissões: 31 de julho de 2017.

Serão recebidos artigos que apresentem inserções diversas na referida temática:

  1. Diálogos globais: trocas literárias entre autores luso-brasileiros e autores estrangeiros; pontos de contato entre autores luso-brasileiros e literaturas estrangeiras;
  2. Diálogos transatlânticos no contexto luso-brasileiro: diálogos literários entre Portugal, Brasil e África lusófona;
  3. Estudos fronteiriços: literatura luso-brasileira escrita na fronteira (espaços concretos e figurativos);
  4. Literatura luso-brasileira escrita e/ou publicada no exterior;
  5. Recepção de literatura luso-brasileira no exterior;
  6. A vertente lusófona dos estudos de literatura latina nos Estados Unidos.

Call for Papers

Revista Moara is the biannual electronic journal of the graduate program in Literature and Languages of the Federal University of Pará, Brazil. Revista Moara is a periodical of national circulation since 1993, and it holds a B2 classification in CAPES’s Qualis index. Revista Moara welcomes contributions by scholars holding an MA or a PhD, as well as contributions by MA candidates (co-authored with a PhD degree holder) and PhD candidates. Revista Moara is currently accepting submissions for its special issue on Luso-Brazilian Literature in/and the Global Context: Crossing Borders (volume 48/Literary Studies) to be published in December 2017.

Deadline for submission: July 31st.

All submitted essays will be subjected to an evaluation process.

This special issue is organized by Profa. Dra. Juliana Maia de Queiroz (UFPA) and Profa. Dra. Luciana Namorato (Indiana University, Bloomington).

Revista Moara: Special Issue on Luso-Brazilian Literature in/and the Global Context: Crossing Borders

This issue will concentrate on Luso-Brazilian Literature (understood here as literary works written in Portugal, Brazil, and Lusophone Africa and Asia, as well as the literature written by individuals of Luso-Brazilian descent living abroad), with a special focus on transnational dialogues. We welcome submissions that study the global facet of Luso-Brazilian literature, and that explore its dialogues with other nations, languages, and literary traditions. Essays may focus on (but do not need to be limited to) the following topics:

  1. Global dialogues: Literary exchange between Luso-Brazilian and foreign authors; points of contact between Luso-Brazilian and foreign literatures
  2. Transatlantic dialogues within the Luso-Brazilian context: Literary dialogues between Portugal, Brazil, and Lusophone Africa
  3. Border Studies: Luso-Brazilian literature written on the border (as both a concrete and a figurative space)
  4. Luso-Brazilian Literature written and/or published abroad
  5. The reception of Luso-Brazilian literature abroad
  6. The Portuguese facet of Latina/o literature in the United States.

General guidelines: We accept essays in Portuguese, English, French or Spanish, between 10 and 20 pages (including references, tables, and figures). 3cm margins, font Times New Roman, size 12, 1.5 line spacing, justified, A4 paper size. Articles must be submitted in both Word (with author’s identification) and PDF (without author’s identification), without page numbers, and following the journal’s guidelines, found at http://www.periodicos.ufpa.br/index.php/moara/about.
