O Departamento de Português da Faculdade de Letras e Ciências Humanas da Universidade de Macau convida a candidaturas para o cargo de Professor Associado ou Titular de Português na disciplina de Estudos Portugueses: Linguística, Estudos de Tradução, Estudos Culturais Sino-Ocidentais e Literatura Portuguesa.

O Departamento de Português é uma comunidade académica estabelecida e viva que inclui falantes de variedades europeias, brasileiras e outras de Português. O departamento oferece uma licenciatura em Estudos Portugueses que se concentra no Português como Língua Estrangeira com cursos selecionados em interpretação e tradução, pedagogia de línguas estrangeiras, estudos literários e história. No nível de graduação, o Departamento também ensina português na Faculdade de Direito e oferece cursos eletivos em português como língua estrangeira para estudantes de todas as faculdades da Universidade. No nível de pós-graduação, o Departamento oferece três programas de Mestrado em Língua e Cultura Portuguesas, um Mestrado em Estudos de Tradução (Português-Chinês) e um Mestrado em Aquisição de Língua Portuguesa, e duas áreas de doutoramento em (i) Linguística Aplicada (Ii) Estudos Literários e Interculturais (Português).

Qualificações

Os candidatos devem possuir um doutoramento em Estudos de Tradução, Estudos Culturais Sino-Ocidentais, Literatura Portuguesa ou numa área afim de Estudos Portugueses. Os candidatos devem ter um excelente registo de pesquisa internacionalmente reconhecida e de publicação. Os candidatos devem ter também fluência nativa ou quase nativa em português, juntamente com experiência de ensino de português como língua segunda. Serão consideradas as candidaturas em todas as áreas de Estudos Portugueses. Um bom domínio do inglês é também desejável. A vaga está aberta para Professor Associado ou Titular, embora seja preferível uma nomeação sénior.

The Department of Portuguese of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities invites applications for the position of Full or Associate Professor of Portuguese in the following disciplines:

Portuguese Studies: Linguistics / Translation Studies / Chinese-Occident Cultural Studies / Portuguese Literature Studies

The Department of Portuguese is an established and lively scholarly community that includes speakers of European Portuguese, Brazilian and other varieties of Portuguese. The department offers an undergraduate degree in Portuguese Studies concentrating on Portuguese as a Foreign Language with selected courses in interpretation and translation, foreign language pedagogy, literary studies and history. At the undergraduate level, the Department also teaches Portuguese language within the Faculty of Law and offers elective courses in Portuguese as a foreign language to students from all faculties of the University. At the postgraduate level, the Department offers three MA programmes (a MA in Portuguese Language and Intercultural Studies, a MA in Translation Studies (Portuguese-Chinese) and a MA in Second Language Acquisition) and two PhD areas in (i) Applied Linguistics (Portuguese) and (ii) Literary and Intercultural Studies (Portuguese).

Qualifications
Applicants must hold a PhD in Translation Studies, Linguistics, Chinese-Occident Cultural Studies, Portuguese Literature Studies or in a related area of PORTUGUESE STUDIES. Applicants should have an excellent record of internationally recognized research and publication and a demonstrated potential for outstanding research. Applicants should also have native or near-native fluency in Portuguese along with experience in teaching Portuguese as a second/foreign language. Applications in all areas of Portuguese Studies will be considered. A good command of English is also preferred. The position’s rank is open at Full or Associate Professor, although a senior appointment is preferred. 

The selected candidate is expected to assume duty latest by August 2018.
