Are you an academic with the enthusiasm and ability to carry out cutting-edge teaching on our undergraduate programmes in Portuguese studies? Can you deliver inspirational language teaching?Are you passionate about delivering an exceptional student experience in a Russell Group University?

As a member of Spanish, Portuguese and Latin American Studies, you will teach across our undergraduate curriculum, with a focus on the Portuguese language. You will convene, teach and assess a number of modules across various levels, from Beginners Portuguese at Level 1 to Advanced Portuguese for students returning from a Year Abroad at Level 3. You may also teach on Lusophone culture and society at Levels 1 and 2, and supervise projects on Lusophone topics at Level 3. You will be expected to undertake administrative duties within the subject area, such as programme management and personal tutoring. You will also have the opportunity to contribute to the School’s activities, and to the teaching of School-wide modules, as appropriate.

You will have either a PhD in Lusophone studies or an appropriate qualification in Language Education, as well as significant Portuguese language teaching experience at undergraduate level.
