O CIDEHUS - Centro Interdisciplinar de História, Cultura e Sociedades e a pela Cátedra UNESCO "Património Imaterial e Saber-Fazer Tradicional: Interligar Patrimónios", da Universidade de Évora, em parceria com o Centro de Estudos Sociais da Universidade de Coimbra, promovem, no âmbito do projeto “CREATOUR", o Congresso Internacional "Cultural Mapping: Linking Heritage (Tangible and Intangible) and Creative Tourism", a decorrer nos dias 29 e 30 de novembro de 2018 em Évora. A data limite para apresentação de propostas é 15 de julho.

Os organizadores convidam todos os interessados  a enviar propostas de comunicação ou póster, em português ou inglês. São sugeridas as seguintes abordagens principais:

  • Mapeamento do património imaterial na web;
  • Uso do mapeamento cultural no planejamento turístico;
    • Mapeamento cultural no marco da Agenda 2030 da ONU para o Desenvolvimento Sustentável;
    • Mapeamento cultural participativo;
    • Mapeamento intangível e emocional;
    • Mapeamento cultural em áreas rurais;
    • Realidade aumentada e mapeamento;
    • GIS qualitativo.

Call for Papers

All interested academics, researchers, PhD students and practitioners are invited to submit proposals (papers or posters) in Portuguese or English. Two main approaches are preferably suggested:

Mapping intangible heritage on the web. We welcome proposals that explore the theoretical and methodological approaches, emphasising issues and challenges faced, including community engagement and the impact of such projects in policymaking and society.

Using cultural mapping in tourism planning. We welcome proposals that explore the following topics:

  • Cultural mapping in the framework of UN’s 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development
  • Participative cultural mapping approaches
  • Intangible and emotional mapping
  • Cultural mapping in rural areas
  • Augmented reality and mapping
  • Qualitative GIS

The Congress is organised by CIDEHUS – Interdisciplinary Centre for History, Culture and Societies and the UNESCO Chair "Intangible Heritage and Traditional Know-How: Linking Heritage of the University of Évora in collaboration with the Centre for Social Studies (University of Coimbra) within the framework of the project “CREATOUR - Creative Tourism Destination Development in Small Cities and Rural Areas Research Project”.
