Bilinguismo no Mundo Hispânico e Lusófono (BHL) 2019

A terceira edição da conferência sobre Bilinguismo no Mundo Hispânico e Lusófono (BHL) terá lugar na Universidade de Leiden, na Holanda, entre os dias 09 e 11 de janeiro de 2019.

O objetivo da BHL é reunir pesquisadores que trabalham em diferentes aspectos do bilinguismo no mundo hispânico e lusófono. Por isso, a BHL é dedicado à investigação em qualquer área relacionada ao bilinguismo, incluindo linguística teórica, sociolinguística, línguas em contato, segunda língua e aquisição bilíngue, línguas de herança, comunicação, educação e psicolinguística. Ao reunir pesquisadores de diferentes perspectivas, esperamos ser capazes de compartilhar novos conhecimentos sobre metodologia e obter uma melhor compreensão do bilinguismo.

A organização convida para o envio de resumos para apresentações de 20 minutos (seguidas de 10 minutos de discussão) e pôsteres em qualquer área relacionada com o bilinguismo. Os resumos devem ser anônimos, escritos em inglês, português ou espanhol e ter no máximo 300 palavras. Os resumos devem ser enviados até dia 01 de setembro de 2018 (meia-noite, horário da Zona de Tempo Oriental - EST), e devem ser enviados através do seguinte site: http://linguistlist.org. Indique se você gostaria que seu resumo seja considerado para uma apresentação oral, um pôster ou ambos. A notificação de aceitação será enviada em meados de outubro.

Bilingualism in The Hispanic and Lusophone World (BHL) 2019

Abstracts can be submitted from 04-Jul-2018 until 01-Sep-2018.

We invite abstracts for the third conference on Bilingualism in the Hispanic and Lusophone world (BHL), which will take place at Leiden University (The Netherlands) on January 9-11, 2019.

BHL is a biannual conference (Leiden 2015, Tallahassee (Florida) 2017) that brings together researchers working on different aspects of bilingualism in the Hispanic and Lusophone world to share new insights regarding methodology and extend and strengthen the dialogue on furthering our understanding of bilingualism. Hence, BHL is dedicated to research in any area related to bilingualism, including theoretical linguistics, sociolinguistics, language contact, second language and bilingual acquisition, heritage languages, communication, education, and psycholinguistics. By bringing together researchers from different perspectives we hope to be able to share new insights regarding methodology and get a better understanding of bilingualism.

We invite abstracts for 20-minute talks (plus 10 minutes for discussion) and posters in any area related to bilingualism, including theoretical linguistics, sociolinguistics, language contact, second language and bilingual acquisition, heritage languages, and psycholinguistics. The abstracts should be anonymous, written in English, Spanish or Portuguese and should be a maximum of 300 words in length. Please indicate whether you would like your abstract to be considered for a talk, a poster or both. Notification of acceptance will be sent mid October.

The journal Languages (ISSN 2311-553X, http://www.mdpi.com/journal/languages) will offer a Best Poster Award. All attendees with a poster presentation will be eligible for this award. A prize of 250€ will be granted on the basis of the presentation clarity and scientific significance.

All BHL participants will be invited to submit a contribution for a Special Issue on Bilingualism in the Hispanic and Lusophone World to be published in the open access journal Languages (http://www.mdpi.com/journal/languages/special_issues).

  • Deadline for abstract submission: September 1, 2018, midnight Eastern Time.
  • Notification of acceptance: mid October 2018
  • Conference dates: January 9-11, 2019
